Govt to compare COVID vaccines Covaxin, Covishield on different parameters

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) said on Thursday that the government will compare the coronavirus vaccines - Covishield and Covaxin on different parameters for recordkeeping purposes.

Centre disapproves administration of Covaxin to those below 18 years

In a major shift of narrative, the government has now disapproved the authorisation of Bharat Biotech's Covid vaccine to people below 18 years of age whereas earlier, it was approved for children above the age of 12 years by the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI).

After 25 years, Srinagar records minus 8.4 degrees at night

Srinagar city recorded its coldest night on Thursday as the minimum temperature plummeted to minus 8.4 degrees Celsius, a record broken after 25 years. Weather officials said the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at minus 8.3 degrees way back in 1995.
