Chhattisgarh health minister opposes use of Covaxin

Odisha: 26 teachers, 2 students test positive for COVID-19 in Gajapati after schools reopen

As many as 26 teachers and two students have tested positive for COVID-19 in Odisha's Gajapati district after the reopening of schools, prompting the administration to send a senior officer to the district on Saturday to take stock of the situation. Though the development has sparked fears across the state, the administration has urged everyone not to panic as their samples were tested before the reopening of schools on Friday.

17 in Delhi so far test positive for UK strain of coronavirus

A total of 17 Delhi residents have tested positive for the new coronavirus strain first detected in the UK to date and 10 of them have been discharged from hospital after recovery, sources said on Saturday. After the new strain was detected in the UK in December, the Delhi government had started a door-to-door medical check-up of people who had arrived from the UK previously and persons who came in their contact in the city.

Assam CM launches free, dedicated bus service for women, senior citizens

Army apprehends Chinese soldier on Indian Side of LAC in Ladakh

A Chinese soldier was apprehended on the Indian side of the LAC, Ladakh, South of Pangong Tso lake, the Indian Army said on Saturday. According to the army, the PLA soldier had transgressed across the LAC and was taken into custody by Indian troops deployed in the area.
