The spas, ayurvedic resorts and other such facilities in Kerala, which were closed months ago due to COVID-19 pandemic, are all set to welcome visitors again as the state government has issued orders for reopening them by adhering to safety norms.

Bird Flu Scare: 35 crows found dead in Delhi, samples collected for testing

As many as 35 crows were found dead in Delhi on Saturday amid bird flu outbreak across the country. The Delhi government has collected samples to investigate for avian influenza that has been seen in several parts of the country. According to ANI report, 17 crows were found dead at a park in Delhi's Mayur Vihar Phase 3, two at a DDA park in Dwarka, and 16 in Hastsal village of West district on Saturday.

Delhi's minimum temperature within comfortable range, likely to drop

At 10.8 degrees Celsius, Delhi's minimum temperature settled four notches above normal on Saturday, the India Meteorological Department said. The minimum temperature in the city has remained above normal since January 3 as a result of cloud cover under the influence of successive western disturbances.

Maharashtra Deputy CM orders audit of all hospitals in state

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday ordered audit of all hospitals in state on an urgent basis following the fire incident at Bhandara District General Hospital that claimed lives of 10 people. The fire was reported in the Special Newborn Care Unit, a section where intensive care is need for the infants.

Bhandara hospital fire: Leaders condole infants' death; demand probe, action against those responsible

In a major incident, as many as ten infants died on Saturday after a fire broke out at a hospital in Maharashtra. The incident was reported from the Special Newborn Care Unit of a hospital in the Bhandara district of the state, at nearly 2 am. According to a doctor's statement, all infants were between a month and three months old. There were 17 babies in the unit and seven were rescued, he added.

India records 18,222 new COVID cases, 228 deaths in last 24 hours; recoveries rises to 1.05 cr

India's daily new COVID-19 cases fell below 19,000 for the sixth time this month, taking the country's caseload to 10,431,639 while the recoveries have surged to 1.05 crore, according to data updated by the Union health ministry on Friday.
