As many as ten newborn babies died after a fire broke out at a hospital in Maharashtra. According to the details, the fire was reported in the Special Newborn Care Unit of a hospital, in the wee hours on Saturday. All the infants were between a month and three months old, a doctor said. The fire broke out in the Bhandara district hospital at around 2 am, he said.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's niece and eminent academician Chitra Ghosh has died at the age of 90 following a cardiac arrest, a family member said. Ghosh's nephew and BJP leader Chandra Kumar Bose said the youngest daughter of Sarat Chandra Bose passed away at 10.30 am on Thursday due to acute myocardial infraction.

COVID-19: Will be able to vaccinate entire population soon, says Harsh Vardhan
Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan on Friday said soon it would be a reality to vaccinate the entire population in the country against COVID-19 after prioritising risk groups. The Centre has started a new COVID platform to track particulars of potential vaccine beneficiaries and also issue electronic certificates to them, he told reporters after reviewing the dry run of administering COVID-19 vaccine at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital here as part of a state-wide programme.
