PM Modi says all prepared for indigenous vaccine rollout, cautions public against rumours

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that preparations are in last stages for vaccination programme against COVID-19. Speaking after laying the foundation stone of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Rajkot through video conferencing, he said that people will get vaccine manufactured in India and urged people not to let their guard down and strictly abide by coronavirus preventive norms even after vaccination.

 In an effort to create awareness, generate curiosity and to get more people fascinated about space science, Indian Satellite - Satish Dhawan Satellite - (SD Sat) is set to carry the names of common people across the world to space. SD Sat is a 3U cube satellite named after the former Chairman and one of the founding fathers of the Indian space programme Professor Satish Dhawan. It is being launched into orbit by Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) onboard the PSLV-C51 (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) rocket.

Five more UK returnees test positive for new strain of coronavirus, tally mounts to 25

A total of 25 cases of mutant United Kingdom virus have been detected in India after genome sequencing, Union Ministry of Health informed on Thuesday. Out of the five fresh cases, four have been traced by National Institute of Virology in Pune and CSIR-Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology in Delhi. The infected individuals have been kept in physical isolation at state health facilities.
