J&K: 2 Pakistani soldiers killed along LoC opposite Naushera sector

Indian Army killed two Pakistan Army soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC) opposite the Naushera sector in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, said sources on Wednesday. According to sources, the incident happened on Tuesday.

UP accident: 12 killed as roadways bus collides with gas tanker in Sambhal

At least 12 people were killed after a roadways bus collided with a gas tanker in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Farmer unions reject govt's proposals to amend laws, ask not to 'discredit' stir

Congress mayoral candidate N Venugopal, has lost to the BJP candidate by one vote, in the Kochi Corporation North Island ward in the state's local body elections. Venugopal was contesting from Island North this time, rather than the neighbouring Island South, from where he posted victories in 2005 and 2010.  The Congress leader who has also represented the combined division of Island North and Island South in 2000, when the two areas were yet to be constituted as separate divisions, was confident of a win.
