IIT Madras allows only 10% students in hostels after 66 test COVID positive
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras on Monday announced that it has been functioning on limited capacity with only 10 percent students in hostels. This decision comes after 66 students of IIT Madras have been reported to be infected with coronavirus from December 1 till Sunday (i.e, December 11). Besides, all the students residing in the hostels to be tested for coronavirus.

Prakash Javadekar dubs Arvind Kejriwal’s fast as ‘nothing but hypocrisy’
Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his fast to show solidarity with farmers who are protesting against the three agri laws for the last 19 days. Javadekar noted that Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party in its election manifesto for Punjab elections in 2017 promised to amend the APMC Act and that the AAP government has already notified the three laws in the national capital.

Delhi's air quality improves to 'moderate'; temperature drops to 8.4 degrees C
Delhi woke up to a minium temperature of 8.4 degrees Celsius on Monday, as cold winds swept the city. The air quality also improved to the “moderate” category due to the strong winds. The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 22 degrees Celsius, the India Meteorological Department said.
