Legislators of the Opposition BJP squatted on the stairs of the Vidhan Bhavan building in Mumbai on Monday to protest against the Maharashtra government's "lackadaisical attitude" towards the Maratha quota and farmers' issues.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras on Monday announced that it has been functioning on limited capacity with only 10 percent students in hostels. This decision comes after 66 students of IIT Madras have been reported to be infected with coronavirus from December 1 till Sunday (i.e, December 11). Besides, all the students residing in the hostels to be tested for coronavirus. 
Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday slammed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal over his fast to show solidarity with farmers who are protesting against the three agri laws for the last 19 days. Javadekar noted that Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party in its election manifesto for Punjab elections in 2017 promised to amend the APMC Act and that the AAP government has already notified the three laws in the national capital.
