Delhi borders closed: Check routes that are open, closed as farmers' protest enter day 15

With the ongoing farmers' agitation against the three newly enacted farm laws entering the 15th day, traffic near the borders of the national capital remained affected as several borders between Delhi and neighbouring states remained closed for commuters. The Delhi Traffic Police on Thursday appealed to citizens to take alternative routes as Singhu and other borders like Auchandi, Piao Maniyari, Mangesh have been closed for all kinds of traffic movement. Commuters are advised to take alternative routes via Lampur, Safiabad, Saboli and Singhu school toll tax borders.

Farmer leaders to meet at Singhu border to discuss strategy to intensify protest

A day after farmer leaders rejected a government offer of amendments in the new agri laws, the protestors have called a meeting today at the Singh border to discuss future strategy. The meeting will be attended by leaders of as many as 40 farmer unions. The meeting will take place at 2 PM.

With 31,522 new cases, India's COVID-19 tally crosses 97.5 lakh; death toll at 1,41,772

India on Thursday reported 31,522 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, pushing its tally to the 97.6 lakh mark, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The number of cases in the country surged to 97,67,371.
