Kejriwal issues directives to reduce price of RT-PCR test in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said he has issued directives to reduce the price of the RT-PCR test in the national capital, saying it will help those going to private labs for COVID-19 tests. Currently, people have to spend Rs 2,400 for the RT-PCR test at private labs. "I have directed that the rates of RT PCR tests be reduced in Delhi. Whereas tests are being conducted free of cost in govt establishments, however this will help those who get their tests done in pvt labs," Kejriwal tweeted.

Tamil Nadu to resume classes for final year undergraduate students from December 7

Colleges for final year undergradute students in Tamil Nadu will reopen from December 7, Chief Minister K Palaniswami said on Monday. Easing curbs further, Palaniswami said social, political and entertainment events would be allowed in auditoriums.  Beaches including the Marina and tourist places shall be opened for public and swimming pools would be allowed to operate for training purposes, he said listing out fresh relaxations effective December 1.

Caught on camera: Traffic police dragged on car bonnet for half a Km in Nagpur

An on-duty traffic personnel in Nagpur was dragged on the bonnet of a car for almost half a kilometre after he tried to stop the vehicle for breaking traffic norms. The incident took place on Sunday in Sakkardara area of Nagpur and the driver, Akash Chavan, was arrested soon after.

Delhi's air quality turns 'very poor'; likely to deteriorate with calm winds, low temperature

Air quality in Delhi was recorded in the 'very poor' category on Monday and is likely to deteriorate further with calm winds and low temperature allowing accumulation of pollutants. The city's air quality index (AQI) was 307. The 24-hour average AQI was 268 on Sunday. It was 231 on Saturday, 137 on Friday, 302 on Thursday and 413 on Wednesday.
