Bihar Results: 68% winners facing criminal cases, Lalu's RJD tops list

A total of 163 ( 68 per cent) out of the 241 winners in the Bihar Assembly polls have declared criminal cases against themselves in the poll affidavits, with RJD topping the list with around 73 per cent, Bihar Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) said.

Delhi's air quality improves to 'very poor' with change in wind direction

The national capital recorded its air quality in the 'very poor' category on Thursday morning even as experts said the situation was “much better” compared to two days ago when pollution levels were above the emergency threshold. A change in the wind direction -- from north westerly to north-north easterly -- was the reason behind the dip in pollution levels as it reduced the contribution of stubble burning significantly, according to government agencies and weather experts.

Kejriwal reviews ongoing project to provide 24-hour water supply across Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday chaired a review meeting on the 24x7 water supply and water augmentation action plan in the national capital. The chief minister, during the meeting, was apprised of various ongoing and future projects to provide a 24x7 water supply to Delhiites. Class 10, 12 students in West Bengal will not have pre-final tests: Mamata Banerjee

Students appearing for the Class X and Class XII exams will not be required to sit for their pre-final tests at the school level, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday said. "Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic situation, the State Education Department has decided that students currently studying in classes 10th and 12th will not have their pre-final tests," she said.

Mumbai local train services briefly disrupted due to technical problem

Mumbai local train services were disrupted briefly on Thursday morning due to some technical glitch, news agency ANI reported. Few trains were held up in the Kurla-Vadala section. FASTag crosses 2 crore users mark: NHAI

FASTag users in the country have reached 2 crore mark, state-run NHAI on Wednesday said, adding, a growth of 400 per cent in a year has been registered. This has increased the total toll collection to Rs 92 crore per day which is a "substantial increase" in the daily toll collection from Rs 70 crore per day a year back, a statement said.
