Telangana: 19-year-old IAS aspirant dies by suicide over family's financial crisis

In a tragic incident, a 19-year-old BSc Mathematics (Honours) student in Telangana hanged herself to death due to financial crisis her family was dealing with. According to a report with India Today, the deceased was a student of Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram College for Women and wanted to become an IAS officer. The incident dates back to November 2, when the student, identified as Aishwarya Reddy, died by suicide and left behind a purported suicide note in which she cited financial difficulties.

Mumbai bans bursting of firecrackers on Diwali, use of phooljhadi', 'anar' allowed for 2 hours

600 kg firecrackers seized in Delhi; 7 held

The Delhi Police has arrested seven people and seized around 600 kilograms of firecrackers being sold illegally in the national capital from their possession, officials said on Sunday. Ahead of Diwali, the Delhi government had on Thursday decided to ban firecrackers, including green crackers, in the city till November 30 to combat pollution amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the city.
