The movement of rail traffic has been affected severely in Rajasthan due to the ongoing Gurjar agitation. Routes of as many as eight passenger trains in the Kota division were either diverted or changed due to the blockade, thus affecting traffic on the Delhi-Mumbai rail route. The movement of traffic was disrupted on the Bayana-Hindaun road.

Mumbai: Railways will run 753 more suburban train services; 88% local trains now back on track
In a bid to prevent crowding in local trains in Mumbai, railway authorities added 753 new special services from Monday, taking the total number of services on the suburban network to2,773, officials said. With this, the railway authorities have resumed 88 per cent of the total 3,141 suburban services which were being operated before the outbreak of COVID-19, they said.

India has edge in COVID-19 vaccines, global study says
India has three potential coronavirus candidates in race with global contendors rushing to clear trials. A new global analysis of advance market commitments (AMCs) for experimental vaccines observed that India has an edge in the global vaccine race. The report, as quoted by the Hindustan Times, said that India has used its manufacturing capability to pre-order 600 million doses of the vaccine and is negotiating for another billion doses, which is enough to vaccinate at least half the population. India is only second to the US, which has pre-ordered 810 million and another 1.6 billion doses under negotiation.
