Two persons have been booked for offering namaz at a temple in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. A case has been registered against the duo identified as Faizal Khan and Mohammad Chand under sections 153-A, 295, 505. 
At least three children, all under six months of age died at a government-owned children's home and pre-adoption centre between October 24 and 26, in Uttar Pradesh. This comes nearly a month after an inspection at the centre had revealed that the children were not being provided adequate nutrition. According to an official communication, four-month-old Sunita died on the way to SN Medical College on October 24, three-month-old Prabha and two-month-old Awani, died within hours of being admitted to the hospital on October 25.

The Rajasthan government has banned the sale of firecrackers in the state during the festive season, a PTI report said. The decision was taken during a review meeting of the coronavirus situation the state on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. He said that protecting the lives of people is paramount for the government in this challenging time.
The air quality in the national capital remained in the 'very poor' category for the third consecutive day on Monday, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data revealed.
