UP shelter home reports 3 infant deaths in 48 hours
At least three children, all under six months of age died at a government-owned children's home and pre-adoption centre between October 24 and 26, in Uttar Pradesh. This comes nearly a month after an inspection at the centre had revealed that the children were not being provided adequate nutrition. According to an official communication, four-month-old Sunita died on the way to SN Medical College on October 24, three-month-old Prabha and two-month-old Awani, died within hours of being admitted to the hospital on October 25.

Rajasthan government imposes blanket ban on sale of firecrackers, violators to invite punitive action
The Rajasthan government has banned the sale of firecrackers in the state during the festive season, a PTI report said. The decision was taken during a review meeting of the coronavirus situation the state on Sunday. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. Delhi's air quality remains 'very poor' for third consecutive day as stubble burning rises to 40 pc
The air quality in the national capital remained in the 'very poor' category for the third consecutive day on Monday, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data revealed. The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 362 in Sonia Vihar, 345 in Bawana, 326 in Patparganj and 373 in Jahangirpuri; all four in 'very poor' category, as per the CPCB data.
