Mumbai metro resumes with new COVID protocol: Check travel guidelines, timings

Metro services in Mumbai will resume operations from today with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Although the Maharashtra government permitted the resumption of metro services from October 15, the administration didn't begin the services and took a few days extra to be Covid-ready.

Sabarimala devotee from Tamil Nadu tests coronavirus positive

A devotee from Tamil Nadu, who was on a pilgrimage to Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala, tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday during the mandatory antigen test conducted at Nilackal for pilgrims visiting the hill shrine, health authorities said. As per the Covid-19 guidelines, pilgrims need to carry a negative COVID-19 test certificate issued by a verified laboratory 48 hours prior to their visit.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 hit Ladakh on Monday. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremors were felt at about 4.44 am. The epicentre of the earthquake was not known.

Unlock 5.0: Schools to reopen in UP, Punjab, Sikkim from today

Schools in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Sikkim will reopen from Monday. The respective state governments have given relaxation in their coronavirus protocol from today, allowing schools to resume operations with the physical presence of students.
