Hathras incident: Valmiki community members clash with police in Agra

Scores of Valmiki community members who were protesting against the Hathras incident clashed with the police here on Saturday. The protesters pelted stones at the policemen and official vehicles. Police personnel were deployed at the clash site outside a municipal corporation office in Kothi Meena Bazaar area of the Taj city, officials said.

Motorbike taxi rider arrested for molesting woman passenger in Kolkata

A motorbike taxi rider has been arrested in Kolkata's Tiljala area for allegedly molesting a woman passenger, police said on Saturday. The accused was using the identity card of another person who had lost his job from the mobile application-based motorbike taxi service at least two years ago, a senior officer of Kolkata Police said.

India successfully test-fires new version of nuclear-capable Shaurya Missile

In a major success amid the ongoing border crisis with China, India on Saturday successfully test-fired a new version of nuclear-capable Shaurya missile off the coast of Odisha which can strike targets at around 800 kms. The new version of the missile was testfired successfully and would be inducted in the strategic forces to complement one of the existing missiles in the same class, top government sources said.
