Indian Railways may charge Rs 10-35 user fees in train fares for using redeveloped stations

The Indian Railways passengers may have to shell out additional Rs 10-Rs 35 for their train ticket fares as user charges for availing redeveloped stations with state of the art amenities and to help the national transporter in raising funds for redeveloping more stations, according to sources.

Coronavirus showed risk of dependence of global supply chain on any single source: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a virtual bilateral summit with his Danish counterpart Mette Frederiksen on Monday said that the coronavirus pandemic has shown the risk involved in excessive dependence of the global supply chain on any single source. The prime minister said India is working with Australia and Japan to diversify the supply chain, noting that like-minded countries are welcome to join the initiative.

Delhi records daily recovery count of 3500; recovery rate increases to 87%

Despite thousands of coronavirus infections being reported daily from Delhi, the national capital has registered a rapid surge in the recovery rate. Recently, the COVID-19 recovery rate in Delhi raised from 84 per cent to 87 per cent. About 3,500 patients is recovering per day from hospitals authorised by the Delhi government. According to data, around 77,000 COVID patients have recovered in the national capital this month. Meanwhile, a total of 2,32,912 coronavirus recoveries have been recorded in Delhi till now.
