Delhi likely to receive season's last rainfall today

Delhi is likely to receive light rainfall on Wednesday, which could be the last precipitation of this monsoon season, the MeT department said. There has been no rainfall in Delhi for two weeks. The last time Safdarjung Observatory, which provides representative data for the city, recorded any rainfall (1.3 mm) was on September 8. The capital has recorded only three rainy days this month, the lowest since 2016.

One positive sign that has emerged from the sixth round of Corps Commander level talks between India and China in Ladakh is that both sides have agreed not to send more troops to forward areas. In talks that went on for 14 hours on Monday, the two sides in a joint statement agreed (1) avoid unilateral changes on ground, or any action that can complicate the situation, (2) avoid misunderstandings and misjudgments and strengthen communication to maintain peace (3) take practical measures to solve problems properly and jointly safeguard peace and tranquility and (4) hold the seventh round of military commander level talks as soon as possible.

Agra B.Tech student shoots self with father's revolver

A 21-year-old B. Tech student in Agra has allegedly shot himself to death using his father's licensed revolver. However, no suicide note has been recovered. Shubhankar Sharma was at his house in Nehru Nagar area when he allegedly took the extreme step on Tuesday. The 3rd year undergraduate student was pursuing B.Tech electronics from NIT Silchar, Assam and had been at home following the Covid-induced lockdown.

Vaishno Devi devotees to have live 'darshan' through mobile app
