Haryana: Farmers protesting news agriculture law block major road in Sirsa

Farmers in Haryana are protesting against the new farm laws that were passed in Rajya Sabha on Sunday amid massive uproar in the house. The protesting farmers have blocked a major road in Sirsa. "The govt should make laws making it punishable for private buyers to procure farm produces below MSPs. This will guarantee our sales," one of the protesters said.

In an interview with PTI, Mohan rejected charges of Facebook India's decisions being influenced by political leanings of individuals, saying the process followed at the platform is designed to ensure no one person can influence outcomes, let alone take any unilateral decisions.

2.39 crore COVID tests conducted in India in August: Minister of State for Health

India conducted 2.39 crore COVID-19 tests in August, of which 1.24 crore were done using rapid antigen kits, the government said on Sunday. Till September 18, a total of 6,17,33,533 tests were conducted across the country, Minister of State for Health Ashwini Choubey said in the Rajya Sabha.
