NIA busts Al-Qaeda module in West Bengal and Kerala plotting to attack Delhi

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday arrested 9 Al-Qaeda operatives in raids conducted at multiple locations in Murshidabad, West Bengal and Ernakulam, Kerala. As per the preliminary investigation, these individuals were radicalised by Pakistan-based Al-Qaeda terrorists on social media and were motivated to undertake attacks at multiple places including the National Capital Region.

500% spike in cybercrimes due to limited awareness, poor cyber hygiene: NSA Ajit Doval

National Security Adviser (NSA) Ajit Doval said that financial frauds have seen exponential increase due to greater dependence on digital payment platforms following the COVID-19 pandemic.  Doval said there was an increase of 500 per cent in cyber crimes due to limited awareness and cyber hygiene.

HCL sets up coronavirus facilities at LNJP and DDU hospital

In a noble gesture, the HCL foundation has helped set-up isolation and treatment units for the Covid-19 disease at two government hospitals. The foundation donated 150 beds, an ambulance with life support, and a team of over 120 doctors, nurses, paramedics, and general duty assistants, to the Covid facilities at Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital and Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) hospital.

Govt cancelled ICMR's purchase orders from China for COVID-19 test kits: MoS Health

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) had placed purchase orders for COVID-19 antibody test kits to Indian firms which were cancelled subsequently with no payment made to any Chinese company, the Lok Sabha was told on Friday. In a written reply to a question, Minister of State for Health Ashwini Choubey said the ICMR has not imported huge quantities of antibody test kits from China.
