Harsimrat Kaur Badal will resign from Modi govt to protest farm bills: SAD chief Sukhbir Badal

Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Thursday announced in Lok Sabha that party leader and Union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal will quit the Modi government in protest against the three farm bills tabled by the Centre in Parliament. "I announce that Harsimrat Kaur Badal will resign from the government," Sukhbir Singh Badal said in Lok Sabha.

India China standoff: Indian Navy tracks Chinese research vessel in Indian Ocean

At a time when tensions rose on the land borders in Ladakh between India and China, the Indian Navy warships tracked a Chinese research vessel which entered the Indian Ocean Region last month. The Yuan Wang class research vessel had entered the Indian Ocean Region from Malacca straits last month. It was constantly tracked by Indian Navy warships deployed there in the region, Government Sources told news agency ANI.

Amazon India sets up all-women delivery station in Gujarat

E-commerce major Amazon India on Thursday said it has set up an all-women delivery station in Kadi, Gujarat - its second such facility in the country. The new all-women delivery station, operated by a delivery service partner, is part of the company's efforts towards increasing participation of women in the workforce, a statement said. Kadi is located close to 50 kilometers from Gujarat's capital Ahmedabad, with a population of close to 80,000 people.
