Gyms, yoga centres allowed to open in Delhi from today; weekly markets allowed till Sept 30

In accordance with the guidelines issued by the Delhi government on Sunday, gyms and yoga institutes in the national capital have been allowed to open with immediate effect. Gyms and yoga institutes in containment zones, however, will remain shut, while those allowed to function will adhere to strict compliance with the standard operating procedure (SOP).

Former JNU student leader Umar Khalid arrested for alleged role in Delhi riots

Former Jawaharlal Nehru University Student leader Umar Khalid was arrested late Sunday for his alleged role in the northeast Delhi riots. Khalid was nabbed under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) by the special cell of the Delhi police after 11 hours of investigation. Khalid will be produced before a Delhi court on Monday.

UPSC aspirant from Patna on hunger strike, demands postponement of exams

A UPSC aspirant from Patna, Priya Kumari, is on a hunger strike for the last three days. She hasn't taken anything except water and now her condition is deteriorating with every passing hour. Priya Kumari told indiatvnews.com that she cannot feel hunger anymore and she is experiencing stomach pain and headache. However, she is determined to continue her strike until her demand for postponing UPSC Prelims 2020, scheduled on October 4, was not met.

Seeking to study law at 77, woman challenges BCI rule on fixing age limit for admission

Denied admission to pursue a three year LL.B course, Rajkumari Tyagi, a resident of Sahibabad in Uttar Pradesh, moved a plea seeking to intervene in a case already pending on the issue wherein the Bar Council of India (BCI) rule has been challenged.
