Opinion | Sushant death case: Rhea’s bail plea rejected again

The NDPS special court in Mumbai on Friday rejected all the six bail petitions filed by actor Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, their associates Dipesh Sawant, Samuel Miranda, suspected peddlers Abdul Basit and Zaid Vilatra. Judge GB Gurao said that the videos and pictures of Bollywood parties in the tablet seized from Rhea’s residence are yet to be forensically examined and hence judicial custody was necessary. Rhea will now have to spend more time in Byculla jail, till her bail petition is heard in Bombay High Court.

SP's ex-Minister Gayatri Prajapati booked for criminal intimidation

Former Samajwadi Party Minister Gayatri Prajapati has another FIR lodged against him on the complaint of a rape complainant's former lawyer Dinesh Chandra Tripathi, police said on Friday. Prajapati had been arrested in 2017 on the rape charge and recently bailed out for two months on medical grounds.

Coronavirus test in UP will now cost you ₹1600 only

With the price of RTPCR test kits and reagents used for coronavirus testing coming down, the Uttar Pradesh government has reduced the charge for conducting the COVID-19 test to Rs 1,600 from Rs 2,500 by all labs including those privately owned. "The prices of RTPCR test kits and reagents used for COVID tests have come down. Hence, the April order on the pricing of the test has been amended. The maximum price of the test will now be Rs 1,600," said Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad in an order issued on Thursday evening.
