Ramdas Athawale meets Kangana Ranaut over her Mumbai office demolition row

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale on Thursday met actress Kangana Ranaut at her residence in Mumbai, earlier today. Athawale's meeting with the actress has come a day after BMC demolished 'illegal raising' at Kangana Ranaut's Mumbai Bungalow. Speaking after his meeting with Kangana, Athawale said, "Kangana Ranaut said she is not interested in politics but is interested in ensuring unity in society. She said that in her upcoming film she is playing the role of a Dalit and that caste system should be abolished."

China-developed first nasal spray COVID-19 vaccine approved for clinical trials

China has approved the trials of its first nasal spray vaccine against coronavirus that has claimed over 904,000 lives and infected more than 27 million people globally. The only nasal spray vaccine is expected to start phase I clinical trials in November, and it is recruiting 100 volunteers.

Serum Institute puts India trials of AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine on hold after DCGI notice

 Serum Institute of India (SII) has put trials of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate on hold until the British drugmaker restarts the trials, Serum said on Thursday. "We are reviewing the situation and pausing India trials till AstraZeneca restarts the trials. We are following Drug Controller General of India's (DGCI) instructions and will not be able to comment further on trials," Serum said in a brief statement.

Monsoon to stay longer in Delhi, withdrawal in Oct 1st week: IMD

Contempt of court case: Supreme Court asks AG to assist against Prashant Bhushan

The Supreme Court on Thursday asked Attorney General KK Venugopal to assist the court in the 2009 contempt case against Advocate Prashant Bhushan for his remarks in the Tehelka magazine. A bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanjiv Khanna directed that the case record of the 2009 contempt case should be sent to AG.
