28-year-old COVID patient goes missing after ambulance picks her from home
A 28-year-old woman, who had tested positive for the novel coronavirus went missing after she was ferried by an ambulance. The incident was reported on September 4, from Bengaluru's Bommanahalli, where the ambulance had come to pick the patient up from her home. According to the girl's family, On September 3, several others were also tested for COVID-19, along with the missing girl. A mass testing program was conducted in the zone to identify those who could test positive.

Travellers from India must take COVID tests for Singapore trip

First batch of 5 Rafale fighter jets to be formally inducted into IAF today
The first batch of five Rafale fighter jets will be formally inducted into the Indian Air Force (IAF) at Ambala air base on Thursday. The induction is significant as it comes at a time India is engaged in an escalating border row with China in eastern Ladakh. A galaxy of dignitaries including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, his French counterpart Florence Parly, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria and Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar will attend the ceremony. The French delegation at the ceremony will include French envoy Emmanuel Lenain, Air Gen Eric Autellet, Vice Chief of French Air Force, Chairman and Chief Executive of Dassault Aviation Eric Trappier and CEO of missile maker MBDA Eric Beranger. The Rafale jets are India's first major acquisition of fighter planes in 23 year after the Sukhoi jets were imported from Russia.

Shiv Sena-ruled BMC faces flak over demolition at Kangana Ranaut bungalow
The Shiv Sena-controlled Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday came in for flak after demolishing portions of the Bandra bungalow of Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, with some critics saying she was targeted while other defaulters were spared. The 33-year-old actor, who is scheduled to reach here later in the day, has alleged that the Maharashtra government is targeting her because of her fight with the Shiv Sena. BJP MLA Ashish Shelar said the Uddhav Thackeray-led government in Maharashtra is playing vendetta politics. Kangana said the civic body should focus on the shoddy state of roads instead of targeting her bungalow.
