Unlock 4: Noida Metro services to resume from September 7

Unlock 4 Guidelines: Metro train services of the Noida-Greater Noida Metro rail, which were shut down five months ago amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, will be allowed to operate with effect from September 7. The decision comes after the Union Home Ministry issued guidelines for "Unlock 4" this evening and allowed metro rail operations in a graded manner.

Unlock 4.0: Social, political, religious, other gatherings with upto 100 people allowed from Sep 21

Unlock 4.0 Guidelines: Social, political, religious functions and other congregations will be permitted with a ceiling of 100 people with effect from September 21 as the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) announced Unlock 4.0 guidelines, allowing more activities outside the containment zones. MHA in its new Unlock 4.0 guidelines said, "Social/ academic/ sports/ entertainment/ cultural/ religious/ political functions and other congregations will be permitted with a ceiling of 100 persons, with effect from 21st September 2020. However, such limited gatherings can be held with mandatory wearing of face masks, social distancing, provision for thermal scanning and hand wash or sanitizer."

Unlock 4.0 Guidelines: Metro train service to resume from Sep 7, details

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday issued new guidelines for Unlock 4.0. According to the guidelines, during the Unlock 4.0 phase, more activities will be allowed out the Containment Zones. Metro train services will be allowed to operate with effect from September 7, 2020 in a graded manner, by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MOHUA)/ Ministry of Railways (MOR), in consultation with MHA. In this regard, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) will be issued by MOHUA

Unlock 4.0: MHA issues guidelines, Metro to resume from Sep 7, more activities allowed: All you need to know

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Saturday issued new guidelines for Unlock 4.0. According to the guidelines, during the Unlock 4.0 period, more activities will be allowed outside the containment zones. However, strict enforcement of lockdown in containment zones has to be ensured till September 30, 2020. In Unlock 4, which will come into effect from September 1, 2020, the process of phased re-opening of activities has been extended further. The new guidelines, issued today, are based on feedback received from States and UTs, and extensive consultations held with related Central Ministries and Departments.

Video: Gates of Sardar Sarovar Dam opened to release excess water, alert issued

The Gujarat government has issued an alert for villages along the banks of the Narmada river after the water level in the Sardar Sarovar Dam crossed 130 metres, due to heavy rains. With the rise in the water level, due to heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, authorities have opened 23 gates of the mega-dam. The authorities had no choice but to release the water to ease the pressure.

Delhi Metro's new normal plans as it awaits resumption of services: All you need to know

From limiting the number of people in lifts and longer halting time for trains at stations to allow passengers to board and alight with social distancing norms, are among the measures the Delhi Metro will take to ensure safer travel for its passengers, whenever metro services resume. Metro rail services in Delhi have been closed since March 22 in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) had last week said that it will be prepared to resume operations whenever directed by the government.

BSF detects tunnel along India-Pak border in Jammu

The Border Security Force (BSF) has detected a tunnel, originating from Pakistan, just beneath the Indo-Pak international border fence in Jammu, officials said on Saturday. The force has launched a major search operation in the area to look for other such hidden structures that aid infiltration even as it analyses the about 3-4 feet wide structure that could be used for pushing terrorists and smuggling of narcotics and arms, they said.
