COVID-19 tests in Delhi will be doubled to 40,000 per day within a week as there has been a marginal increase in the number of coronavirus cases in the city, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday. Addressing an online media briefing, Kejriwal said that at present, 20,000 tests are being conducted per day in the city.

How Women's Equality Day was celebrated in Kashmir
Kashmir observed Women's Equality Day today by commemorating the hard work done by the women of Lolab despite the challenges and difficulties. The 28 Rashtriya Rifles celebrated Women's Equality Day at Chandigam. The event was attended by women working in all sectors such as Sarpanches, Ward members, Teachers, Asha Workers, Anganwadi workers and house wives.

Supreme Court asks Centre to clarify stand on interest waiver during moratorium
The Supreme Court on Wednesday took note of the Centre's alleged inaction and asked it to clarify its stand within a week on the waiver of interest on interest for deferred payments of installments for loans during the moratorium period announced due to the coronavirus lockdown. A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan said the Centre had not made its stand clear on the issue despite the fact that ample powers were available with it under the Disaster Management Act and was "hiding behind the RBI".

At least 6 people were killed after a head-on collision between two Uttar Pradesh Roadways buses on Wednesday. The incident was reported on the Lucknow-Hardoi road. According to the police, more than a dozen people were injured due to the impact of the accident. Sources said that the buses were moving at a high speed which led to the accident.
