Earthquake hits West Bengal

Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale hit West Bengal early on Wednesday. The tremors were reported from Durgapur at 7:54 am, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) confirmed.

Nitish asks to fast-track 137-km long Patna Ring Road, 6-lane Kachi Dargah-Bidupur bridge projects

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday inspected the construction work of Patna Ring Road project and the Kachi Dargah-Bidupur six-lane bridge over the Ganga. Kumar asked officials to expedite the works, an official release said. The Ring Road would be a 137 km long road being built at a cost of Rs 15,000 crore, an official release said.

Madhya Pradesh: 2 killed, 9 rescued in Dewas building collapse

At least two persons have died after a two-storey building collapsed at the Station Road near Lal Gate in Bhopal's Dewas, informed National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) officer said on Wednesday. "Two bodies were recovered and one more person was rescued from under the debris," said NDRF officer.

Death toll in Raigad building collapse reaches 15; rescue operations continue

As many as 15 people were killed after a building collapsed in Maharashtra's Raigad on Monday evening. According to the details, at least 9 people were injured in the incident, while the rescue operations on the site of building collapse are still on. A four-year-old boy and a 60-year-old woman were rescued on Tuesday from the rubble of the five-storey building in Raigad district.
