J&K: Poonch highway reopened 20 days after anti-terror operation by Army

Twenty days after the anti-terror operation was started by the Army in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district on October 11, authorities on Sunday opened the Bhimber-Jaranwali Gali road on the Poonch highway and also allowed farmers in the area to carry out routine agricultural activities.

India logs fresh 12,830 COVID cases, over 14,000 recoveries in 24 hours; active cases decline to 1.59 lakh

India recorded 12,830 new cases of the novel coronavirus, along with 446 deaths due to the infection in the past 24 hours. According to the data shared by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday, the country saw a total of 14,667 discharges in the last 24 hours, taking the total recovery rate at around 98.20 per cent which is the highest since March 2020 and total recoveries data reached 3,36,55,842.
